About

A Barrie practice built around people, not procedures

Modern equipment used with purpose, and the kind of unhurried attention that makes patients bring their families along.

Why the practice exists

East View Dental started from a straightforward observation: most people dislike the dentist less than they dislike not knowing what is about to happen. So we built the practice around explanation — what we found, what it means, what it costs, and what happens if you wait.

The office is equipped for children, teenagers, adults and seniors, which means fewer referrals out and a team that keeps your whole history in one place. Patients come to us from across Barrie, Orillia and the surrounding Simcoe County townships.

What guides an appointment

Four commitments that decide how we work when a case is not obvious.

Personalised, not standardised

Every plan starts with your history, your goals and your budget rather than a default course of treatment.

A team that reflects the city

Our staff comes from as many backgrounds as our patients do, and the office is built to feel that way.

Honest ranking of the work

We say plainly what is urgent, what can wait a year and what is purely cosmetic. Then you decide.

Comfort is clinical, not extra

Gentle technique, sedation where it helps and longer appointments for anyone who needs them.

Your first visit, in order

This one really is a sequence, so it is numbered.

  1. Arrival

Come ten minutes early to fill in a medical history. The front desk confirms your coverage while you do.

  2. Examination

Digital X-rays and an intraoral camera. Everything we find goes on the screen next to you as we find it.

  3. The plan

A prioritised, written estimate. We book only the parts you have agreed to, at the pace that suits you.

  4. Afterwards

Most people return every six months. We send a reminder and hold a time that fits your schedule.

Bring photo identification, your insurance card, a list of medications, and the name of your previous dentist if you would like records requested on your behalf.

Equipment, and the reason for it

We buy tools that change a diagnosis or reduce a patient’s time in the chair. Nothing here is for show.

Digital radiography
Sharper images at a fraction of the radiation of film.
Intraoral camera
A magnified view of the tooth in question, shown to you before any decision.
Digital impressions
Aligner and crown scanning without the tray full of putty.
Chairside shade matching
Restorations matched to the neighbouring teeth in daylight-balanced light.
Nitrous oxide and oral sedation
Two levels of help for patients who find treatment difficult.

In patients’ words

Three notes from people who let us share them.

I have real anxiety about the dentist and the team here made it painless. They explained every step of my crown before starting and checked in the whole time.

Melissa R. · Barrie

Our two kids actually look forward to their cleanings. The hygienists are patient and great at teaching them how to brush properly.

Daniel & Priya K. · Orillia

I finished Invisalign last spring and my smile is completely different. Clear pricing, evening appointments, and they handled the insurance paperwork.
